When it comes to affiliate article marketing, the one goal is to get the reader in such a mindset that he can’t wait to click the button that leads to the sales page so that he can buy the product. Yet, since you are leading the prospect to a sales page, you don’t want your article to be too “salesy”.
So, what can you do to get the reader in a buying mood?
The thing you need to do when writing articles as an affiliate is to presell the reader on the benefits of the product. While you can use some of the sales page information, you don’t want to use too many sales page techniques in your article because no one wants to read 2 sales pages in a row! Therefore, you have to come up with a softer approach to get the reader warmed up and ready to click.
The first thing you want to do in affiliate article marketing is to identify with the reader. Let them know that you have been in their situation and you empathize with them. Let them know that you have also tried all those things they have and you have also failed. Make them feel like they are not alone.
Next, you need to reassure them that they can succeed. Whether it be weight loss, acne, work from home or forex – let them know there is a method, product or course that can help. If you have used it to success tell them how it worked for you. If you have not used it, you need to turn to the sales page and cite some benefits of the product or talk about how it helped X amount of people.
Find out what the products unique selling proposition is and ingrain that into your article by letting the reader know that this could be the one thing that finally helps him out because of this unique feature(s).
Finally, let the reader know how great his life is going to be after he uses the product. Don’t just list the benefits but state how it will change his life. Finally, in the resource box you want to ask for the click. Be brief and tell the reader what to do next in order to get this wonderful product.
One thing to remember in affiliate article marketing is to always be honest. It’s best if you actually use the product itself because then you can give an honest assessment. But if you don’t then you can glean a lot from the sales letter and testimonials. Don’t hype the product up unrealistically but honestly state what it can do for the reader. If you follow these steps, then I think you might see your conversion rate increase and have a bunch of happy customers to boot!
