Yes, it was a PLR blog! All the licenses sold out so 50 copies were sold, of course I have no idea if all the people actually put them up but I would assume a good amount of them did. Also, I started the case study after several licenses were already sold and people had already put this exact site upon the web.

I added unique content to the home page for SEO purposes and also added 2 articles that were unique. I didn’t rewrite any of the other posts or anything.

This proves that duplicate content does not suffer any penalties and better back linking (like I teach on this site) wins out. The whole duplicate content on different sites is a myth anyway, what the real penalty is is if you have the same article on the same site.

I wasn’t the first to put it up so they don’t look at who was first at all, they look at which site has more authoritative links pointing to it.

You used a PLR blog that you make available to 50 people? How many people put up copies of that particular site that this case study is about?

Also, did you only rewrite two pages? How many pages total is on this blog?

What can we conclude about your blog then with all the Google Panda updates if your blog has duplicate content on it? Of course if you were the first one to put it up before the other members would Google look at all the others as copy cats of your site and give you first ranking and respect…..?

Thanks! Yes, I actually hadn’t been paying attention to this site at all but I noticed a rash of sales for expresso machines over at Amazon and then checked the ranking to find it at #1. I haven’t done any work to it really for a long time so I’m actually a bit surprised, but I’m not complaining!

They are? Oh sheesh, I know a while back they changed it so you could only have 1 link at the very end. I get good traffic from them but they are kind of a pain – lol.
