Step 2: Going Social
Social bookmarking is an important part of getting your website noticed, although I don’t agree that it is the “be all and end all” that some people seem to think it is, it is still something that you want to do, especially if your site is new.
While it’s true that you can get a lot of traffic from sites like Digg, that really only happens if you have a post that is controversial or highly entertaining. So you might want to think about making some posts that are controversial just to get people to your site.
You should bookmark your home page and several selected pages initially when your site is new and then go in and bookmark selected posts to 3 or 4 of the SB sites, alternating the ones you use each time.

Social bookmarking can be very time consuming (and Boring)!!
If you’re going to be able to scale your business to the level where you can sit on the beach where your sites earn money for you, you’ve got to invest in some tools that will help automate the job for you.
And, luckily, there is actually a really great tool that I have been testing out for almost a year now which automates not only the social bookmarking but also submits to a variety of Web2.0 properties for you – all on autopilot!
Of course, just like anything good, this one has a monthly fee ($37) but it is well worth it as it will save you hundreds of hours each month! I don’t know about you, but my time is valuable and the $37 is a great exchange for freeing up 100 hours!
So, what’s this great service? It’s called LinkJuicer (yes, that is my affiliate link because I am, after all an affiliate marketer!) – here’s a video that shows you how easy it is to use:
I can’t tell you enough how much of a deal the LinkJuicer is it automatically puts your posts and links on 31,952 social bookmarking and content accounts!

Hi, Lee. These are great videos. Does Link Juicer work with a Mac? Is it a web-based program?
Thanks! Link juicer is actually a web based application so it should work with a Mac.
